What is a Sensory Profile Assessments?

A Sensory Profile Assessment helps identify how a person responds to everyday sensory input like sound, touch, movement, taste, and light. This assessment can uncover whether someone is hypersensitive, hyposensitive, or seeking sensory input — and how that may impact their emotions, focus, social interactions, or ability to complete tasks.

It is often used for children and adults who may experience sensory challenges related to autism, ADHD, trauma, or developmental conditions.

Who Should Consider a Sensory Assessment?

This assessment is beneficial for:

Children with meltdowns or difficulty focusing in class

Individuals who are easily overwhelmed by noise or touch

Children or adults who appear constantly on the move or "seek" sensations

People with autism, ADHD, or sensory processing disorder

Individuals with unexplained behaviours or emotional regulation issues
