PLACEMENT OPPORTUNITIES AVAILABLE AT SPTG?

Our process at SPTG is to never over commit and under deliver in any aspect including student support and learning. We love supporting students into what can be an unfamiliar draughting environment & supporting them to thrive!

We aim to take two students every year spread between Griffith University, Southern Cross University and soon to be Bond University.  We love inclusivity and trying to help and support students in many different ways, which includes one on one support and also in groups of one to four support  & supervision.

Our team also love supporting allied health students with extra shadowing and volunteering opportunities. We make it easy and  flexible around your current university requirements. As a multidisciplinary mobile team, you do have the option of shadowing our Exercise physiologists’s, Physiotherapists or Occupational Therapists.

If your interested in these opportunities to grab hold of some real-life community experience with a team that will show you the ropes, please reach out to us and we can get things organised for you.

We recognise in general, that community allied health can be left out of typical education and placements, therefore becomes very daunting and confusing, which can leave a student feeling overwhelmed and lead to avoiding the whole opportunity altogether.

Please allow us to take you under our wing and show you what its really like to be in the community with a supported team with exceptional values. We will show you the ropes of how things should be done like training, transitions into clinical cases, true support including personal and professional growth. The feeling of appreciation and acknowledgement and not just out on your own as a number is found with us!

A typical day would involve a car pool with your supervising OT, which maximises your opportunities to spend time discussing, prepping and learning.
