What does the Normatec Recovery System 2.0 do?

This recovery system pairs compression with a sophisticated massage pattern, employing three key forms of biomimicry – including pulsing, gradients and distal release.

Pulsing Action – uses dynamic compression, effectively mimicking the muscle pump of the legs to greatly enhance movement fo fluid and metabolites out of the limbs
Hold pressures are used, similar to the one-way valves of veins and lymphatic vessels, to prevent fluid backflow, and enhance the natural circulatory flow
The distal release feature releases hold pressures once they are no longer needed, ensuring that each proportion of the limb gains maximal rest time without a significant pause between compression cycles

SIZE REQUIREMENTS – STANDARD BOOT SIZE AVAILABLE ONLY:
Please ensure your legs are within the following measurements:

Fits people between 160-190cm tall
71 – 86cm inseam (runs from crotch down to bottom of leg)
LESS THAN 73cm thigh circumference

CONTRAINDICATIONS:
It is imperative that you DO NOT have the following conditions as these are known contraindications. If you are uncertain-please speak with your GP.

Acute Pulmonary Oedema
Acute Thrombophlebitis
Acute congestive cardiac failure
Acute infections
Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT)
Episodes of pulmonary embolism
Wound, lesions, infection or tumours at or near the site of application
Where increased venous and lymphatic return is undesirable
Bone fractures or dislocations at or near the site of application

Our Obligations

Electrical equipment is tested and tagged annually – If you require proof – please ask one of our friendly staff
We will thoroughly clean and sanitise the equipment between uses to ensure a high level of hygiene is maintained and remains COVID safe
The Normatec Recovery system will be well maintained and not sent out damaged

If any condintions change in your health that may effect your use of the Normatec Compression Therapy – cease use and contact us on 0735235610 to organise return of equipment
If any other person is to use the equipment whilst under your supervision of the loan – it is your responsibility they do not have any contraindications and it is safe for them to use the equipment
Return equipment on the due date – late fees are applied ($50 each day late)

Hiring Process

We hire our machines on a weekly basis – submit this request and we will contact you regarding availability
You may be able to extend your loan agreement PAST your loan end date, depending on availability
A $200 bond will be charged prior to the hiring period and returned once the equipment has been returned in the same condition it was hired out as. No damage to any part of the equipment. Please read terms and conditions for full terms.
All contracted periods are payable in full, in advance via a credit card, debit card or direct deposit. Items will be shipped to you once payment is made
Your equipment will be available for loan once payment has been received
It is your responsibility to remember the date that your hire equipment needs to be returned by. We will send you a reminder text 2 days before your due to return them. A late fee will be charged for any equipment that is returned late ($50 each day)

Terms and Conditions

INDEMNITY

The hirer hereby indemnifies and holds the owner from and against all claims, action suits, costs and expenses, demands, including all legal costs and expenses, in any way arising out of the use of the equipment between the commencement of the hire and the return of the hired equipment to the owner. It doesn’t matter whether these claims are caused by negligence of the hirer or by the negligence of any other person whatsoever. It is the hirers responsibility of the hired equipment throughout the loan period, it is not the responsibility of the owner to ensure safe use for other people the hirer lends the equipment to

WARRANTY AND INSPECTION

The Hirer acknowledges that they have inspected the goods and
(a) is satisfied that the goods are in clean condition and in good and substantial order and condition
(b) is aware of the proper use for which the hired goods are designed for
The hirer hereby acknowledges that no warranty or condition expressed or implied is given by the owner as to the condition of the goods or as to the suitability or fitness of the goods for any purpose.

TERMS AND CHARGES

The Hirer will pay hire charges at the rate and in the manner specified. Starting from the commencement date and full duration of the hire until the hirer returns the goods to the premises of the owner.

In the event of the hirer requesting the owner to send/transport the goods to or from the owner’s premises. In addition to the initial hire charges, the hirer shall pay the owner all charges and expenses incurred by the owner in delivering/sending or collecting the goods if applicable.

Hire charges delivery and collection charges or other charges where applicable are payable prior to the commencement of the hire.
A $200.00 bond will be payable by the hirer prior to the commencement of the hire and will be returned, in full to the hirer from the owner once equipment hired is returned with no damages accrued.

The hiring is personal to the hirer only, the rights of the hirer are not assignable to any persons, person or any business or company whatsoever.

RETURN, DAMAGE, LOSS AND CLEANING

If the hired equipment is returned to the owner and they are not found to be in clean condition and/or not in acceptable and substantial order, the hirer shall pay to the owner the expenses and cost of restoring/repairing the goods to clean condition and/or acceptable and substantial working order.
The hirer accepts full responsibility to compensate the owner for the value of equipment or parts which may have been stolen, lost or damaged from the time of commencement of the hire or collected by the owner. This right shall not be prejudiced by or prejudice any other right under this agreement.
If the hired equipment returns to the owner damaged – the owner will retain bond paid by the hirer if damaged are casual from the hirer, not a fault of the hired equipment.

If the cost of the repairs to said damages, the hirer is liable for additional costs if the damages were caused by negligence or damage from the hirer.
The owner will not hold the hirer liable to the hiring charges while the goods are in service or repair unless the hirer fails to notify the owner within 24 hours of the failure/damage occurring.

MAINTENANCE AND BREAKDOWN

The Hirer will use the hired equipment in a skillful and proper manner and for the purposes for which such goods were designed.
The Hirer will Keep and maintain the goods in a clean condition and good and substantial working order.

In the event of a breakdown or a failure of the hired equipment, the hirer will not organise repairs. The equipment must be returned or sent back immediately by the hirer to the owner to ensure full repair and restoration of the equipment as soon as possible.

BREACH OF AGREEMENT AND TERMINATION

If the hirer makes default in the observance or performance of any of the above terms and conditions the owner may, without notice cease the hiring of the equipment from the hirer and take possession of the equipment. In the case of this occurrence, the hirer hereby authorises the owner, its employees and agents to enter upon any premises in the occupation of the hirer to search the premises and to remove & retrieve the hired equipment from their possession.

The owner shall not be liable to the hirer or any other person for any loss or damage to any person or property caused by the use and operation of the hired equipment.

Hired equipment not returned by the nominated due date will be treated as stolen property and legal proceedings will be undertaken to recover the stolen property and full value of the hired equipment will be paid by the hirer if the hired equipment wasn’t retrieved.
